2011-2012 Leadership Boerne Class Coordinators

OVERVIEW
Sessions begin in September and continue through May. Each year a lineup of informative and interesting speakers is scheduled, kicking off with an orientation focusing on team-building skills. Subsequent sessions include the following topics:
- Orientation
- Leadership Skills
- State Government and a trip to Austin
- Economic Development and Tourism
- City Government
- County Government
- Area Education Systems
- Health Care and Social Services
- Leadership Retreat
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
Applicants must be current Chamber Members and are serving or agree to serve in the community, either on a board or committee; have potential for leadership; and live or work in the area. A cross section of participants from all sectors of the community will be selected. Participants must have been with their present employer or have resided in the community for at least one year.
SCHEDULE AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
The LEADERSHIP Boerne program consists of nine (9) one-day sessions to be conducted primarily on the second Wednesday of every month September through May. Sessions are generally last all day, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Exact times will be published prior to session. This schedule includes a total of approximately 72 hours of instruction. A Graduation Ceremony/Dinner will culminate the program after all sessions are completed. Every participant who completes the program will receive a certificate of completion. The orientation session is required; all other monthly sessions must be attended unless there is an emergency situation. Any participant missing part or all of more than one (1) session, for whatever reason, may be dropped from the program and no portion of the tuition shall be refunded.
TUITION
Tuition for LEADERSHIP BOERNE is $650 for Chamber Members. You will be notified by July 16, 2011 of your acceptance into the program. Payment must be paid in full two weeks prior to Orientation (August 24, 2011). (Credit Cards are accepted.)
REFERENCES
Two letters of reference must be submitted with your application (download pdf version) which is due June 30, 2011. These recommendations must be made by those who have knowledge of your leadership potential and performance. They must include the name, business, address and phone number of the person making the recommendation so they may be contacted by the selection committee. Remember to enclose a recent photo and a short Bio.
